Descrizione del lavoro

My work is focused on humanity and identity. It all starts from the significance that memories, experiences and memory have. As an artist, I translate these struggles in a magical and metaphorical language. Painting allows me to “validate” the scenarios I propose regardless of whether they exceed the limits of reality as most of us know it. I gladly exploit this state of confusion and thus I try to extend the process of reception of the ideas. I think contemporary relationship with the work of art must be a long term one. The image must be as long as possible “generous”, always provoking and always offering new meanings and new interpretations. I think beauty lies in building a relationship with the object of art, in a gradual digestion of the metaphor. What is very important to me is a person’s relationship with their personal past, their process of becoming. So I always go back to moments of self exploration, I use my memory, my own experiences and I transpose them into paintings as general situations. After that I add illusion, mystery and magic as ingredients, without witch there can be no fascination in painting.
